A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Dr. Allison Nowak, O.D., followed in her father's footsteps to graduate from Indiana University in 1997 with a B.A. in chemistry and then to earn a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2002. She went on to complete a residency in ocular disease and low vision at the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center in Chicago before joining Lanter Eyecare in 2003. She became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry in 2007.

Dr. Nowak is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Nowak sees all ages of patients at the Lanter Eyecare offices in Carmel and Castleton. She is also available for Saturday appointments.
